Drowning and ‘Til Death Do Us Part: A two-part story
Inspired by real events, Drowning and ‘Til Death Do Us Part explores the intersection of love and loss for a family that loses a child during pregnancy. It offers a unique lens into the grief suffered by the father of the child as he navigates all the pressures of life.
The story compounds when another close family member begins to lose her sense of self as she faces her own health struggles. The audience experiences the dark choices that can be made through grief as well as healthier alternatives including couples and individual therapy and relying on supportive loved ones.
This story comes alive with a blend of acting, singing, dancing, spoken-word, and live music to connect the audiences’ experiences with the hope that grief becomes something we live with and not run from.
The tour of Drowning begins on April 11th at Creative Suitland and ‘Til Death Do Us Part debuts at The Publick Playhouse on June 6, 2026.
